If you're coping with difficult emotions during the holiday season, this one is for you ❤️
Grief and loss are never easy, and somehow, the holiday season can make those feelings even sharper. This time of year can stir up old memories, deepen the ache of missing someone, or simply make everything feel a little heavier. If that’s where you are right now, you’re not alone.
Because we know how tender this season can be, we wanted to share a few things that might offer comfort and support.
Recently, we gathered for our first-ever Flourish community event — a small, intimate conversation with a handful of Flourishers, led by Dr. Xuan Zhao and featuring author Kathryn Henry. We gathered in a heartfelt and thoughtful space to talk about Kathryn’s best-selling memoir, A Dime to Say I Love You: A Journey of Love, Loss, and Spiritual Awakening, and what it means to heal while grieving.

Kathryn shared the idea of “dime moments,” those tiny, unexpected flashes of connection that appear right when you need them most. These moments, she says, remind us that love doesn’t disappear — it simply changes shape.
Hearing our community reflect on their own experiences added something really meaningful to the conversation. It’s a sense of shared humanity, and the reassurance that grief doesn’t isolate us as much as it connects us.
As we head into a season that can amplify everything we feel, I hope this conversation offers you that permission to hold joy and sadness side by side, and maybe even notice a dime moment of your own.
The full conversation is now live on YouTube, and you can watch it anytime.
