Practical, inclusive pedagogical strategies to support student flourishing.
Today, we’re excited to share our invited book chapter, “Toward a Culturally Informed Positive Psychology: Introducing the Flourish App and the ‘Flourish Challenge’ to Support Student Well-Being”!
Co-authored with our longtime collaborator Professor John Hunter, this chapter is slated for the upcoming Teaching Cultural Psychology, edited by Professor Heejung Kim and Professor Smaranda Lawrie. Below, we offer a glimpse into our vision for transforming campus well-being through culturally responsive positive psychology, AI-driven personalization, and community-focused learning.
In this chapter, we introduce a collaborative movement that brings well-being research directly into the hands of educators and students—ensuring each individual’s culture, context, and life experiences are woven into their journey toward flourishing. Our approach stands out in three key ways:
If you’re an educator interested in integrating the Flourish Challenge into your learning community, we’ve created introductory slides that can be seamlessly added to your existing deck or shared on Canvas. Check out the Flourish Challenge on our website to learn more.
If you haven’t already joined our community of practice, we invite you to become part of this thriving network of educators. By sharing your experiences with the Flourish Challenge and the Flourish App, you help build a collective knowledge base that strengthens diverse academic settings. To join us, please fill out our form at https://www.myflourish.ai/schoolinquiry or reach out via email at hello@flouriship.com. Whether you’re looking to explore new collaborative opportunities in well-being education or participate in our next research study, we look forward to hearing from you.
